I could not agree with Adam's ideas more; it's all about scores for me. I'm not as methodical as he with it but I will whack on an album depending on the tone of script I write. For instance my upcoming Walker was written to the strains of The Wolfman and, chiefly, Christopher Young's ace score to Drag Me to Hell - both very much helped me get into the Gothic place I needed to be for the story.

So yeah - can't recommend this approach enough to our budding writers out there.

Great interview. This is the first time I've heard of Slingers and I have to say I'm hooked. Looks smart, sexy and has it's own unique voice to it. And good work on the interview. It's always great to be have some dig deep with their subject to ask the questions where all hoping for answers to.

One of the most moving scripts I've ever had the joy of reading. Chris creates a group of characters that you genuinely root for throughout. Definitely his finest pieces of work yet, if not a highlight of the site in general. An absolute must read.

Psychological drama from the ever-improving Corvero, framing the narrative flashbacks to gradually reveal the full story within an ever-escalating framework of scenes. Rusty's increasingly chaotic influence on events makes this a good stylistic companion piece to Tom East's 'Perfect'.

The Dracula legend has been retold countless times but not so often in a contemporary setting, making this Scott/Haigh story something fresh and original. There's a lot going on here - evidence of a wider backstory and mythology that could fill a film by itself - but the central romance and twists of the plot are what count, delivering an unexpected but welcome new spin on the tale.

Dark comedy in the vein of Charlie Brooker's recent 'Black Mirror' mini-series, with an edge of satire on modern media quickly shifting into high-concept fantasy and horror. A detached air of surrealism that only Brits can do properly pervades throughout, meaning despite the grisly subject matter this always keeps you chuckling.

A good ride, plenty of action throughout and a lively cast of characters. Blending post-apocalyptic landscapes with layered character drama, Chris creates an ever-moving sense of pace and delivers lots of memorable moments through a great eye for action.
